Rake Up Boise Landscape Volunteers & Back Up Teams

Rake Up Boise is a neighborhood revitalization effort that engages over 6,000 volunteers every year. These teams go out on or around November 12th and rake the homes of senior citizens and disabled neighbors in Boise and Garden City. Where we've identified a gap is after November 12th when teams have forgotten to rake or were unable to rake. We are in need of individual and/or teams to be on standby before or after November 12th to finish up the leftover yards. We could also use volunteers to do work other than raking that a lot of our recipients also need help with in their yard, such as; cleaning out gutters, tree trimming, garden bed cleanup, ditch/canal maintainance etc....

The recipients of Rake Up Boise are very grateful and appreciative of the work our volunteers are able to do in order for their yards to be ready for winter. This yard care also makes it possible for a majority of our recipients to safely leave and enter their homes. It also gives them peace of mind to know that their community cares for them and is willing to help.
