Trauma Support Services of Texas ( www.tssnt.org), is a non-profit agency established in 2007 that provides free, on-going, Licensed Trauma Therapy and Case Management services to survivors of trauma such as: homicide, assault, abuse, car crashes, drownings, suicide, home invasions, robbery, PTSD and more. We serve adults, families, children and teens in Dallas, Tarrant and 14 other counties. TSSNT sees clients from all income levels, but our target population are those without insurance or the ability to pay for the counseling they need to help rebuild their lives.

We know that the services TSSNT provides to our community are vital but to keep our agency going and growing, we need to advance our cause by raising awareness, attracting donations and cultivating long-term support and the best way to do this is through Social Media utilization.

We are looking for volunteers who are skilled in setting up and maintaining social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr and blogs.

If a volunteer applicant also has connections to movers and shakers in the corporate world, local and state politicians, real estate and finance executives, the sports world or have fund raising experience, that would be a plus but not a requirement.

TSSNT works with volunteers as "Unpaid Staff." We expect our volunteers to participate in training, to abide by our Policies and Guidelines, and to operate within our Professional Code of Ethics. We expect a commitment to the agency of 6 months, renewable if both parties are satisfied.

Social media volunteers will be required to attend frequent staff meetings in order to stay updated regarding agency programs, services and goals plus to get to know staff. Actual social media work can be performed by volunteer in their home but all postings must be reviewed by staff before being published.

If interested please contact Suzanne Senesac Sherif, 972-595-4519 or Suzanne@tssnt.org .
