The Taste of Home Cooking School is an annual fundraising event benefiting Emmaus Homes, a United Way agency providing services to over 250 adults with developmental disabilities in the St. Louis area. The day begins with a vendor fair, workshops, and VIP luncheon, and is concluded with a live cooking show taught by a Taste of Home Culinary Specialist.
This fun event offers multiple opportunities for volunteers!
We need help in the following areas:
- Set-up and tear-down of vendor tables
- Event registration and check-in
- Ushers/Attendance Prize Runners
- Cookbook Sales
- ...and more!

Description
Since its inception in 1893, the primary purpose of Emmaus Homes has been to provide quality long-term supports for developmentally disabled adults when their own home and/or family situations are no longer a viable option. We provide residential services and habilitation services to people with developmental disabilities which includes autism, cerebral palsy, and some traumatic brain injuries.
Emmaus Homes addresses such needs as improving life skills, increasing decision-making abilities, expanding communications capacities and providing opportunities for recreational and educational activities in our cleint's communities.CAUSE AREAS
