Every high school senior enrolled in Economics with Financial Literacy throughout Osceola County will learn valuable financial literacy skills preparing them for the real world, thanks to a new partnership between Junior Achievement of Central Florida (JACF) and The School District of Osceola County. The JA Finance Park Virtual program helps students build a foundation to make intelligent lifelong financial decisions related to income, expenses, savings, and credit. The program culminates in a hands-on online budgeting simulation.

Seeking to connect students with the real world, the organization is asking for volunteers from the local business community to donate 3-6 hours their time to instruct on the following dates:

Wednesday, August 31 st (Lesson: Paying for Postsecondary Education)

Wednesday, September 7 th (Lesson: Buying vs. Leasing a Car)

Wednesday, October 12 th (Lesson: Identity Theft)

Description

Since 1961, Junior Achievement of Central Florida has inspired well over a million Central Florida students. Our goal this year is to reach an even greater number of students in our community through our volunteer taught, curriculum guided programs. Our dedicated volunteers help prepare students to succeed in a global economy outside the four walls of a classroom.

Junior Achievement of Central Florida firmly believes that every student in Central Florida, throughout the nation and even worldwide, has the potential to succeed in life- regardless of their social, economic, or educational status. We strive to inspire! You can't dream big if your world is small!
