Mark it on your calendars! October 16, 2016 is our 3rd Annual DMV Run For The Warriors in Fairfax Station, VA and we need you. Please go to www.hopeforthewarriors.volunteerhub.com to register and reserve your volunteer spot today!

This race is dedicated to the men and women wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, and families of the fallen. It is a celebration of their strength and resolve and a promise to continue restoring self, family, and hope. By uniting the entire community, military and civilian alike, this unique event embraces wounded warriors and their families in the shared belief that there is hope beyond recovery. All proceeds from the race will benefit wounded warriors and their families through our many Hope For The Warriors(r) programs.

Volunteer duties include set up, registration, timing input, food tent, water stop, course marshal, & break down.

*Food will be provided. Hours Verification available

Mission: We believe those touched by military service can succeed at home by restoring their sense of self, family, and hope. Nationally, Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources.

Description

Through four program pillars, Hope For The Warriors provides a full cycle of care to restore self, family, and hope to post-9/11 combat wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen. Our goal is to assist in all facets including family care, financial needs, morale trips, and professional development. The personal care and opportunities that we provide lead to long-lasting personal restoration. We invite you to navigate through each pillar page to learn more about our programs.
