About

Nonviolence International is a decentralized network of resource centers that researches and promotes nonviolent action and seeks to reduce the use of violence worldwide. We believe that every culture and religion can employ appropriate nonviolence methods for positive social change and international peace.

Nonviolence International NY focuses on the United Nations, and on the community of New York City. We aim to share with the New York community the important things happening at the UN in our areas of work: Culture of Peace and Nonviolence, Disarmament, Palestine: Peace and Justice, UN Goals, UN-Civil Society Relations, Women's Issues.

We are looking for a volunteer to produce photo and video content on a weekly basis while working closely with our social media team. We have our own basic equipment, but if you have your own tripod or lights, that is helpful but not at all required to be chosen for this position. The responsibilities will include vidoegraphy and photography of live events, people, and our work. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to propose ideas for content.
