Fundraising Assistant Volunteer

The Fundraising Assistant Volunteer position encompasses locating various businesses that would like to be associated with the agency for particular events, projects, etc. This position would entail a combination of making phone calls and also personal appearances at businesses. The fundraising assistant volunteer would be working in tandem with other agency staff and volunteers, coordinating efforts and contacts. Database entry skills would be required to maintain logs of contacts. The fundraising position can be done from an off site location. Each week set deadlines will need to be met and a phone meeting will take place among UTH staff and the volunteer. At least 5 hours a week are expected for this position. Tenure is expected to be at least 3 months. Excellent communication and organization is expected in this position. Volunteers who succeed in this position are reliable, punctual, well spoken, good at taking initiative and thinking ahead. This position can be a volunteer position or used for class credit, practicum, or internship.
