It's time for the Theatre Off Jackson's annual Fundraising Auction!
This is Theatre Off Jackson’s biggest fundraiser of the year and will be held on Saturday, September 17 at the theater: 409 7th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104. This event gives guests a sample of all that TOJ has to offer during a not-to- be-missed evening, including: a scrumptious dinner, cocktails, wine grab, a silent and live auction, and performances by TOJ regulars.
We only need 8 more volunteers to make the event a success! Below are the roles we need to fill:
Silent Auction Assistants - Auction Item Merchandizers
4:30pm Orientation, Volunteer Shift 5:30-11pm
This is a fairly active job. You will be able to take breaks, but please be prepared for lots of activity including walking, bending, and lifting. During Silent Auction: Assist bidders during Silent Auction. At Closings for each Silent Auction section, carefully record the winning bidders for each item. Must have very clear handwriting, pay close attention to detail, and be able to work carefully and quickly. After the section is closed and winners are recorded, transport bid sheets to Data Entry team.
During the Dinner/Live Auction: Pack items into original packaging. Set up item pickup section.
At Close of Event: Assist winning bidder in picking up their auction items. Make sure their receipt/bid sheet matches the item.
End of Event: Assist with cleaning up, breaking down and loading out all Silent Auction materials, unclaimed items, décor materials.
Food Servers/Runners
4:30pm Orientation, Volunteer Shift 5:30-11pm
This is a fairly active job but there will be plenty of breaks. Please be prepared to be on your feet. Please pull long hair back. Please wear clothes that you won’t be upset if a little bit of food gets on them. In coordination with caterer, pass trays of appetizers downstairs during silent auction, then provide food and table service upstairs during live auction.

Description
Theatre Off Jackson exists to provide an affordable performance venue for small arts groups and independent artists. Instead of just renting out our space, we offer a different kind of production model, a partnership model in which our co-producers bring strong creative ideas and a capable production team (performers, designers, director, stage manager, etc.) to the table and TOJ supplies a well-equipped, "artist-ready" space for performances and rehearsals, box office/concessions staff, access to technical support, and space on our website to help market a show.
