Love Robots? Love Legos? Well we have a wonderful volunteer opportunity for you. Volunteer at the South Carolina FIRST LEGO League Animal Allies qualifier. Teams of children ages 9-14 have been working to assist animals all season and now it is time for them to show you what they have learned.
Volunteers are needed November 19th, at Colleton County Middle School for the FIRST LEGO League Robotics Qualifier 8am to 3pm. Assistance is needed in the following areas: practice table monitors; research project judges; team work presentation judges, table resetters; scorers; timekeeper; referees; registration. No experience required. Volunteers may be college students or professionals.
The volunteers for the event do not need experience, and do not have to be engineers or computer programmers. They just need to be excited to help out in the community.
The teams will compete in a robot game, but they also are judged on several presentations. We need all types of people to help make this event a success. Teachers, business personnel, retirees, high school and college students, all are wonderful volunteers. Everyone that comes to an event is excited to attend the next one. This is a wonderful opportunity for those students who are looking for a fun way to get those community service hours in.
