ORGANIZATION: Poudre River Public Library District

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 9 people are interested

Do you enjoy Minecraft, and would you like to share your passion? We need volunteers, ages 14+, who are experienced in Minecraft, and are interested in working with 1st-12th graders. Volunteers will help with set-up (30-60 minutes), the program (2 hours) and take-down (30 minutes), at various locations (please check the notes for specific location). The events happen on weekdays after school, on weekends, and during the summer, as often as twice a month, but you are not required to help at all of them.

One orientation is required before being allowed to sign up to volunteer at events. Please apply online and work with the Volunteer Program Manager to complete your interview, background check (for those 18+), and orientation.

Mission Statement

The Poudre River Public Library District provides universal access to ideas and information to enrich our communities.

Description

Just as the Cache la Poudre River flows through the region and sustains life across the high plains of northern Colorado, the Poudre River Public Library District is where the free flow of information cultivates growth and serves as a steady, limitless source of renewal for all of its communities.

Established in 2006 by voter approval, the Poudre River Public Library District's shared resources serve more than 191,740 people across a vast 1,800 square-mile region in northern Larimer County, Colorado. The District operates under the laws of the State of Colorado and is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed to four-year terms by representatives from the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County.

Anchored by three libraries in Fort Collins (Old Town Library, Harmony Library, and Council Tree Library), the District is dedicated to matching the diverse community's needs, interests, and priorities with exceptional opportunities for learning, intellectual stimulation, and personal enjoyment. In all its endeavors, the District aims to enrich the cultural, educational, and economic life of the growing regional area which it serves.
