Operation Bootstrap seeks ESOL/ESL Classroom Assistants.
We are seeking passionate and committed volunteer tutors to help our teachers differentiate in the classroom. Requirements for the position include: patience, desire to work with adult students from all over the world, and a willingness to learn and serve. Teaching experience in English or ESL is preferred, but not required.
Volunteer positions run from late September to mid June and require a weekly commitment of 2-3 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months of the year. Our classes run Tuesday-Thursday in the mornings (9-12), afternoons (1-4) and evenings (5-8).

Operation Bootstrap is an adult education center with 40 years of experience serving adults in the Lynn area. Our goal is to equip our adult students with the skills they need to be college and career ready. We offer classes in ESOL and preparation for the HiSET exam (formerly GED), as well as lessons in basic computer literacy. We are also in the process of planning integrated classes with both North Shore Community College and Lynn Vocational Tech.
