Rewarding, when is it that you least expect to make a difference in someone’s life? We at Pillars Hospice Care are looking for Volunteers to help our patients make the end of life’s journey as easy as possible. When you are at the end of life’s journey all you want is someone there with you listening to your stories, or just a person sitting with you to make the day more pleasurable.
Enrich others’ lives by giving the gift of time and presence..
Our Volunteers give about 1-2 hours per week. You can decide what schedule is best for you. We encourage individuals to volunteer in something that they enjoy and are comfortable doing. Below are some ways in which our volunteers serve our patients:
- Playing Music
- Reading Stories
- Playing Games
- Work around the house
- Day Sitting
- Companionship
- Personal Care
- Shopping / Errands
- Transportation
- Salutes Veterans Program (honoring our Veterans)
- Pet Connections
- Sewing, Quilting
- Special Events Support
- Clerical Support
- Anything else you would like to do that is not already listed!
