Volunteer to get dirty at MuckFest MS 2016!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National MS Society - California

We're looking for a few, fun-loving volunteers to join us for our annual muddy, MuckFest event on Saturday, November 12 th at Prado Regional Park (16700 S. Euclid Avenue Chino, CA 91708). There’s two ways to volunteer, either as a Mucker (for $25 you can participate and volunteer - normal price to participate is $60+) or as a regular volunteer. To register, all you have to do is go to:

http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/PageServer?pagename=HOM_MUCK_MuckFest_info_losangeles

Once you follow the link, please click on 'volunteer’ (it’s on the right hand side of the page about halfway down). At some point, you’ll be given the option to choose one of three, general positions (course, festival site, check-in). As a volunteer, you also get free lunch, a t-shirt and a cup. It’s really the best event we’ve got when it comes to volunteering. It’s messy and funny and, as always, built to fundraise for the MS Society and our fight to end MS forever.

We’re teaming up with some folks to make this event happen, so once you register, they’ll take over the process from there with confirmation emails and volunteer-specific updates. Our volunteer coordinator is still available for questions or comments and they will be at the event with the rest of our team, but the mass emails that are normally generated within our chapter office will be orchestrated by another staff member for MuckFest.

About National MS Society - California

Location:

1700 Owens St, Suite 190, San Francisco, CA 94158, US

Mission Statement

The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to end the devastating effects of MS.

Description

Founded in 1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs, and furthers more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world.

We do this through the extensive research we support to find the cause, cure and improved treatments of the disease; the comprehensive services we provide to people with MS and their families; the professional education programs we offer to assist health care providers better serve their MS patients; and through our advocacy efforts on state and federal levels to encourage public policies supportive of the needs of people with multiple sclerosis. This is why we at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society are here.

Volunteers are vital to the work of the National MS Society. We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills. There is only one requirement: to want to do something about MS NOW. Your valuable skills and fresh perspectives will make the Society a stronger and better organization. There are so many ways to contribute, whether through advocacy, programs, fund-raising or special projects. We can always use your help.
