At our Intercoastal Division, Children's Home Society has a warm, nurturing group home for girls and boys up to the age of 15 who have suffered severe abuse, neglect, abandonment and/or exploitation. Because of the intense trauma these children have endured, traditional foster homes and group homes are unable to provide the specialized therapy and care they need to begin healing from their pain. Our professional, experienced staff is at the home 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Community groups, organizations and individuals are needed to provide a meal or snack for the children who are staying with us. Volunteers must bring their own supplies to cook/bake for 8-15 children. In an effort to prevent food borne illnesses, all meals must be either prepared at the Facility or delivered/catered from a restaurant or pre-packaged supermarket tray.

Mission Statement

Building Bridges to Success for Children

Description

Founded in 1902 as an adoption agency, Children’s Home Society of Florida is one of the oldest and largest statewide children’s organizations in Florida. Over the years our services have expanded to include the fight to end child abuse and neglect. Each year, we help nearly 1,800 vulnerable children and families in Broward County. We have been able to do this because of wonderful people like you, who understand how important it is to ensure that children are safe in loving, caring homes.
