The Holidays are here! Do you like to shop? If so, you will enjoy helping museum guests select South Carolina themed items as gifts for themselves or their friends. The Cotton Mill Exchange is the name of one of the largest museum gift shops in the state. Presented in an old mill building, hundreds of unique gifts attract shoppers from all over who would like a bit of South Carolina to take home.
You will be volunteering with friendly people. You may pick your own schedule to match your availability. Volunteers receive generous discounts and free guest passes. Parking is free and plentiful.
The first step is to attend one 3-hr museum orientation which will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 8:45am - noon. Please contact Jeff Powley at Jeff.Powley@scmuseum.org if you can attend
Retail experience will be helpful but not necessary as long as you enjoy learning, meeting people and enjoying the holiday season.
