Are you looking for something rewarding and fun to do over the Holidays? Volunteer at the South Carolina State Museum. Many different volunteer opportunities are available AND you can choose a schedule to meet your availability. The museum is open every day and Tuesday evenings until 8pm.
Work with children and their parents as you team build hands on craft projects, help with science challenges or supervise museum scavenger hunts. Not interested in children? We need volunteers to help with holiday parties for adults in the evenings, also. Museum volunteering helps build your resume or can enhance your retirement years.
Training is free. All materials are free.
You will be volunteering with friendly people. You may pick your own schedule to match your availability. Volunteers receive generous discounts at the museum store and cafe and get free guest passes. Parking is also free and plentiful.
The first step is to attend a brief museum orientation. Please contact Pam Borawski at Pam.Borawski@scmuseum.org for more information and to reserve your place at the orientation.
