The Children's Museum of Richmond, a not-for-profit organization, exists to create innovative learning experiences for all children and those who support them that inspire the next generation of creative problem solvers. The Children's Museum of Richmond will foster a community that recognizes and appreciates that children grow and learn through play.
Part of the Legendary Santa experience is the children’s Fawn Shop. The Fawn Shop is a children’s only shop, where everything is just $2! Adults are discouraged from entering the shop, so the shop needs volunteers willing to help the children shop. Fawn Shop volunteers will also help keep the inventory in the back of the shop organized and tidy during down time.
Additionally, we need volunteers to do activities in our Holiday Village. This exhibit invites our CMoR guests to explore the cultural symbols, family traditions and customs of six holidays celebrated in Richmond and around the world. Through informal experiences - reading a book or playing a game - visitors have the opportunity to learn and understand together.
Flexible Shifts Available: Daily from day after Thanksgiving - Christmas Eve. Shifts may start as early as 7:45 AM and end as late at 8:45 PM. Most shifts are 2 hours long.
We ask all volunteers to commit to a minimum of 8 hours during the holiday season.
All volunteers must complete an orientation before beginning service.
**The Children's Museum of Richmond does not currently accept volunteers who need court-ordered community service hours.**
