Volunteers needed to help Brantford, Ontario clients. Positions cover many areas including:
-Supporting client as they complete a simple exercise routine
-Supporting a client who volunteers at an animal shelter
-Various social recreational postings
-Helping staff run a group activity (Starting late fall)
-Therapy dog visits
These opportunities increase a client's access to their community and provide quality of life benefits that help alleviate mental health issues.
Online training and individual orientation is provided. Volunteer experience at Brain Injury Services provides training and hands-on experience in goal-setting, behaviour modification, maintaining boundaries, and collaborative problem solving.

Description
Brain Injury Services/Step Up! ABI Recovery is a community-based rehabilitation service for individuals who have sustained a brain injury. The agency provides a full-range of integrated services including 24-hour residential care as well as community outreach services.
The agency can treat any brain injury, from mild to catastrophic, and currently serves approximately 200 clients who are realizing achievements in work, volunteerism, leisure/recreation activities and academic pursuits.
