Do you have a passion to help those who have lost loved ones?
AseraCare Hospice provides continual support to our patients' familys after the end of life. We are part of our patients' loved ones for 13 months; providing support to the caregivers, and other loved ones of each patient. For those that have experienced the death of someone who was very important to them, they might be finding it very difficult to adjust to the immense changes happening in their life right now. Grief can cast a negative cloud in our life by shaking everything up - your beliefs, your personality, and even your sense of reality.
Bereavement support may be able to provide relief during these very difficult times. Talking about the loss often allows a person to adjust to their new life with all its changes - good and bad. Keeping things bottled up or denying the sadness could prolong the pain. Any loss has to be acknowledged for us to move forward. Bereavement support tries to help clients find a place for their loss so they can carry on with life and eventually find acceptance.
AseraCare is looking for a Bereavement Volunteer to assist our Bereavement coordinator a few times a month, volunteer would make calls to family member, send cards, and other office work to assist Bereavment coordinator.

AseraCare is a hospice agency that provides care to patient in the end stages of life. We serve patients in their own homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.
We focus on serving the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our team, patients and families with a sense of compassion, urgency and customer service. AseraCare is passionate about creating a culture that is dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering which finds expression through the ongoing gentle acts of kindness, sympath and compassion. Volunteers at AseraCare will be a friend in someone's end of life journey to ensure they are comfortable.
AseraCare Hospice volunteers enhance quality of life and reduce the burden of caregiving by providing dirrerent types of support to patients and families. Companions, pet therapy, music volunteers, Reiki Practitioners, Massage therapists, and more visit our patients on a regular basis. If you wish to share your heart and help a terminally ill patient in any way you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator to learn about our exciting new opportunities!
