The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. Delaware County Advocacy & Resource Organization is looking for volunteers with special talents or passions to instruct and/or facilitate events for people with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities in Delaware County.
Ideal volutneers should have passion for but not limited to basic cooking, art, computer basics, dance, theatre etc. Volutneers will facilitate classes for people with special needs and assist the Volunteer Coordinator in planning.
Classes will take place in the evening, beginning at about 6PM with plans to finish in 1 - 1/2 hours.
Volunteer must attend a brief one-on-one interview with the Volunteer Coordinator and complete a Criminal Background check.
