Celebrate Black excellence in comics at our seventh annual event! Join us for a day filled with art, panels, and more from talented Black creators in the industry. Meet your favorite artists, discover new independent comics, and immerse yourself in a diverse comic book culture.
Whether you're a die-hard fan or just starting to explore the world of comics, BLACK COMIX DAY VII is the place to be. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to support Black artists and enjoy a day of fun and creativity.
Event Details
Date: Saturday February 15th- Sunday February 16th, 2025
Time: 10 am- 6 pm (doors open at 9:50 am)
Location: WorldBeat Cultural Center, Balboa Park
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Event Assistants: Set up and/or break down event, assist event staff
- One World Cafe / Kitchen: Prep, serve, and sell food & drinks at inside and outside food booths
- Maintenance : Set up, upkeep of event grounds, break down - recycling, trash, clean up.
- Video and photographers: experience preferred but not necessary
We are also looking for Volunteers for our annual and general events:
- Tribute to Reggae Legends - Friday 2/21 6 pm- 12 am & Sat 2/22 2 pm-12 am
- Earth Day 2025 - dates & times TBD
