Help our organization by picking up donated books at the library, and then sorting, pricing and boxing them at our storage unit (where we collect our inventory). These books are then used to stock the shelves at our used book store inside the Sandy Springs Library. We have an ongoing need for helpers who will work their own hours on a rotation of one week out of every six weeks. Lifting of boxes is required, and we do have the use of library carts!

About FRIENDS OF SANDY SPRINGS LIBRARY
Location:
390 MOUNT VERNON HWY, SANDY SPRINGS, GA 30328, US
Mission Statement
The purpose of our 501 (3)(c) organization is to provide financial support (raise funds for books, programs, and materials) to the Sandy Springs Library.
Description
The organization, affectionately known as FOSSL, started in 1983 with a small group of book-loving library patrons. Staffed entirely by volunteers, our organization runs a used bookstore inside the library, which is open the entire time the library is open. Books are donated to the Friends from the community and the Friends group transports, sorts, prices, and stores the books in an offsite warehouse facility, staffed also by volunteers.
