We are looking for an experienced vegan/vegetarian chef or cook to fill in at one of our events this December as one of our chefs will be away for maternity leave.
We are very thorough with vetting our volunteers due to working with people in sensitive situations. A background check may be required.
The basic requirements are:
- Must be 18 or older
- Absolutely must be able to follow instructions regarding the meal. The menu is arranged by the founder of the organization and the recipes must be followed to the letter.
- It is critical that one has a "can do" attitude and can work well with others as a team. This gig is not ideal for "ego driven" chefs who want to do things their way or undermine the production.
- Pleasant demeanor is also required as we go into the space of others.
- Punctual
Everyone on our team and our volunteers pitch in. The president washes dishes and may or may not cook depending on if she is needed on the floor to serve.

Dinner’s on Maxx is designed to serve a memorable restaurant style dining experience to men, women, and children from all walks of life with whom a little bit of support from the community will go a long way. We work with various nonprofits, charities, and organizations that represent the homeless, veterans, families, child services, and most organizations that strive to help humankind. We host meals for humanity. Our hand-picked, experienced chefs thoughtfully prepare each meal from scratch and use only the finest ingredients to serve nutritionally sound and delicious vegetarian inspired meals.
Though the food we serve is spectacular, our production is much more than a meal served by a friendly face in a restaurant style environment. We help the organizations we work with in other ways. Part of our mission is to raise donations for each organization based on their specific needs. We also spread awareness and create exposure for their cause through social media, various news outlets, and our personal networks.
