Summary: The research assistant will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the Adults and Families Eligibility Facility list is up-to-date. This will include reviewing facilities, making phone calls to business partners, researching facility information online, compile data into Excel spreadsheets, and update Knowledge Coordinator on activities in a timely manner. This position will contribute to enhancing the quality of work performed by Human Service Representatives.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Data entry

  • Call business partners to verify information

  • Research facility information online

  • Perform other duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner

  • Must be dependable

  • Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software suite

Time commitment:

  • 2-3 hours per week up to 12 weeks

  • Phone calls must be made during business hours

  • Opportunity for flexibility

Description

The work of our Department tends to fall into three major areas:

  1. Increasing safety and stability of individuals and families through services such as child and adult protection, providing temporary emergency shelter, and more.
  2. Promoting self-reliance and a livable income through a mixture of federal and state programs, such as SNAP (food support), Child Support, Veterans' Service, cash assistance programs and more.
  3. Improving the health of the community through public health care programs, restaurant inspections, regulating emergency medical services, providing crisis response to behavioral health emergencies, immunization services, a public health clinic, and more.
