Help Heartland Tree Alliance mulch trees at Memorial Park in Belton Missouri! Mulch is so important in young tree care not only to protect the bark from string trimmers and lawn mowers, but also to help retain moisture during our dry months. No prior mulching experience is needed. Tools will be provided.

Mission Statement
Bridging The Gap's mission is to make the Kansas City region sustainable by connecting environment, economy and community.
Description
Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.
BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
