Aseracare Hospice is seeking available volunteers who specialize in sharing their trained pet with our patients. Our focus is on encouraging and enhancing patient interactions with your certified pet. The tactile sense of comfort brought on with the soft fur and petting provides our patients with peace and comfort that only a pet can provide. Pet therapy can reach our non verbal patients and provide a calming feeling. If you and your pet are willing to give your time please contact our volunteer coordinator at 920-339-9065.

REQUIREMENTS:
Pet must be certified for visits by a certified Pet Therapy Program, comparable to those listed on the American Kennel Club’s website. OR Volunteer will asses pet to see if its a good fit for our therapy team.
Volunteer Coordinator will conduct 2-3 supervisory visits with volunteer and pet before they make unsupervised visits.
