Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park is currently looking for volunteer camp hosts for the Elk Prairie Campground. The Camp Host position requires 20 hours of volunteer service in the campground each week. Duties include assisting with camper registration, answering visitor questions, selling firewood and light maintenance.
In exchange for 20 hours of volunteer service each week, Elk Prairie Camp Hosts will be provided with a RV/Trailer pad (you must have your own RV or trailer), 30 amp hookups, water, sewer, and laundry. In addition to the RV/Trailer site, hosts receive a parking pass that grants them access to the California State Parks in the North Coast Redwoods District and are eligible for a statewide annual parking pass after completing 200 volunteer service hours. Invites to special trainings, BBQ's, guest speakers, and park events! Fingerprint background check required. California State Park volunteer uniform will be issued. Training and park orientation will be provided.
