ORGANIZATION: Loudoun Free Clinic

  • 2 people are interested

Here at Loudoun Free Clinic, we provide free healthcare to low-income, uninsured adult residents of Loudoun County.

We have a French-speaking patient, and are in need of a volunteer to interpret for her appointments at our Clinic in Leesburg on an occasional basis. Generally, this patient has 1-2 appointments per month; each appointment typically takes less than 1.5 hours start to finish. The appointment days/times vary, as our volunteer specialist providers are available at different times, but we will provide the volunteer with as much notice as possible. If specific days or times are best for you, we will schedule the appointments within those bounds as much as possible.

If you have flexible availability but don't want to be tied down to a larger time commitment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! A healthcare background is not required for this position.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out an application, which can be found on our website at http://www.loudounfreeclinic.org/become-a-volunteer.html.

Please note that while we do require training and a more lengthy onboarding process for most of our volunteers, because you will be serving in a more specific capacity, you will be exempt from the majority of these requirements.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa Hebert, Volunteer Coordinator, at lhebert@loudounfreeclinic.org.

Thank you!
