Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Welcome! We're the Girl Scouts.

We're a global movement that thinks big and acts locally. Our programs and experiences are designed to help every girl discover her sparkle. How cool is that?

You may have heard of us. We build apps. We compete in Lego Robotics. We use our problem-solving skills to make an impact in our communities and around the world. We also giggle, sing, dance, hike, and canoe. You know, there isn't much we can't do if we put our minds to it! Sound like fun? Join us.

We're more than 55,440 girls and 21,381 adults strong locally, and we're looking forward to meeting you. We engage volunteers to work with girls in traditional troops, but we also need volunteers to help run events and activities for girls; adults to engage girls in camp and outdoor activities; volunteers to train other volunteers; groups to work at our camp work weekends sprucing up our facilities! You name it, we can use volunteers with time and talent to share!

Our mission sounds simple, but it ultimately changes lives by building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. We can't wait to speak with you!
