We are looking for Patient Companionship Volunteers at VITAS- Healthcare to visit patients on hospice residing in nursing homes and/or in their own homes located in St. Charles County, MO. There are many opportunities and locations available in St. Charles, St. Peters and surrounding areas.
During visits volunteers may read to patients, write letters for them, play music, games, share conversation and hobbies or simply hold their hand so they are not alone. Comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering is provided. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
