Princesses Ballet is a program of City Gospel Mission that teaches at-risk girls the beauty, fun, and discipline of ballet, while helping them build character and learn about God's love.

Our site at Robert's Academy in Price Hill is need of a LEAD INSTRUCTOR, who has the ability to teach basic ballet fundamentals as well as a pre-choreographed routine. Assistants are also needed (no dance experience required, but helpful!). This site is led by our Hispanic Outreach program, and our staff will be on site to help with logistics, lead bible discussions and contacting parents. Speaking Spanish is not a requirement for the instructor or assistants (but would be a bonus.)

Key responsibilities for Instructor:

  • Teach basic ballet fundamental & techniques
  • Learn and teach a pre-choreographed ballet routine
  • Create a friendly and loving environment conducive to learning
  • Provide guidance and support for the girls
  • Work collaboratively with site coordinator and volunteers

Qualifications: more than two years of ballet or any other dance discipline. Knowledge of ballet terminology is important. Experience and passion to work with children in an urban setting.

Ballet assistants would assist the instructor with the above listed responsibilities. Assistants should have some experience in ballet or other dance discipline, and have a passion to work with children in an urban setting.

Practices are held on Mondays from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm during the school year.

As the first step, please complete an application stating your interest at www.citygospelmission.org/volunteer-youth/
