ABOUT US:

The Worldview Project is a San Diego based non-profit whose mission is to promote cross-cultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation through web-based resources, programs, publications, social networking and local events.

OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:

The Worldview Project publishes the online magazine, the San Diego Participant Observer, a robust magazine that consisting of original articles, a robust community calendar, syndicated articles and sections devoted to film, food, music, dance and more. Perhaps the most important part of the magazine is our continually updated Calendar of international and multicultural events happening in and around San Diego. On average we post about 40 new events every week to the calendar. Working on the calendar you will development a much deeper understanding of the wonderful diversity found in and around San Diego. You will also be able to work with wonderful people from around the world!

We are looking for Calendar Editor Volunteers/Interns to research local events and post them on our online calendar.

The ideal candidate will be: Someone who, possesses good written communication skills, data entry, web and computer savvy, proactive, and dependable.

Most of our work happens during normal business hours, with only occasional weekend or evening hours when we participate in outside events. Our minimum commitment for a volunteer is 120 hours within a 6 months period and for interns, 120 hours within a 3 month time frame.
