Volunteer Graphic

Did you know that 95% of Philadelphia District run schools do not have a functioning library? WePAC currently fills in the gap by mobilizing volunteers to reopen libraries and provide literacy mentoring in 13 Philadelphia public schools.

The 2016-2017 school year is just around the corner and WePAC is seeking new volunteers for our libraries in the Southwest, West Philly, and East Falls/Roxborough areas.

WePAC volunteers maintain libraries by: repairing books, cataloging collections, conducting read alouds, and assisting students with checking-in and checking-out books. This year we have a ton of new ways that you can make a difference in a child's life by fostering a love of reading.

If you would like to learn more about how you can become a WePAC volunteer, respond to this posting or send us an email here: volunteer@wepac.org!

School libraries make a difference, WePAC volunteers change stories!
