As a volunteer driver, you will be assisting older adults to and from their appointments using your personal vehicle. The types of appointments include medical, dental, eye and legal appointments. Volunteer drivers for Four Pointes are considered "no assist" which means you may hold the car door, walker or wheelchair for the client but you may not physically assist them in or out of the car. Clients may have a cane or walker that is loaded into the car but driver will not be asked to transport wheel chairs. Volunteer drivers may submit a mileage reimbursement for compensation of $.40 per mile. All rides are coordinated through the Program Assistant who will contact you with each individual ride request detail to allow you to determine if you are available and willing to offer the ride.
Thank you for considering and for giving back to your community by helping those who need you the most!
