The Minnesota Valkyries Rugby Club actively seeks the help of a volunteer photographer(s) to capture our action on the pitch. We are an organization of former and present rugby players dedicated to the development of rugby, our team, and our community. We strive to maintain our position as one of the elite organizations within USA Rugby by creating a positive and enduring impact in all that we do.
We need help capturing our experiences and action both on and off the pitch as we compete to become D1 National Champions! Pictures help us tell our story and success to all those interested in playing rugby and promoting us along our journey.
No need to know the game of rugby; we’ll teach you what to look for on the pitch! We prefer someone have sports photography experience, but we’d love to give someone the opportunity to gain new experience.
You may choose to take photos only or add your graphic design abilities and edit. We will need you to provide the camera and any other equipment you’d like.
We ask the photographer to attend a minimum of 2 home games if we have multiple volunteers, or all home games if one photographer. Our games occur on Saturdays in the mid-morning, generally at Columbia Park in NE Minneapolis. The photographer will be there the full game (~2 hours total). Our schedule is below.
