ORGANIZATION: Women's Daytime Drop-In Center

The Women's Daytime Drop-In Center is looking for volunteers to help with general client support. These care coordinators will be expected to donate 3-6 hours a week to the Drop-in on a consistent basis. Responsibilities will include: helping women in crisis gain access to resources in the community, cooking meals, offering child care support, engaging in household activities (knitting, art projects, etc), helping to maintain a safe and clean atmosphere, and supervising the office space.

The Women's Daytime Drop-In Center empowers women and children to move from the streets to a home by providing ongoing and intensive counseling, case management services, transitional housing, and a safe daytime refuge.

Description

Our services include:

  • Hospitality window - serving meals to go, groceries, hygiene products, diapers
  • Intensive case management to assist with obtaining and maintaining housing.
  • Children's Program offering positive play and educational activities.
  • Extensive housing resource information, referral, and advocacy.
  • Bridget Transitional House.
