Family Store Volunteers Needed

The Family Store’s hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. We will happily put to work volunteers who wish to come as much or as little as their schedules permit - for example, four hours one day a week or two hours twice a week, etc - whatever timeframe will work best for you Family Store volunteers work in the warehouse in the back of the store. They receive, inspect, sort and price donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, according to the category and condition, hang clothes on hangers, prepare non-suitable clothes for the bailer, and help keep the warehouse area neat and orderly.

Volunteers here are so important because the sale of donated clothing, furniture, and household items at our local Family Store directly funds all Social Service Programs here - programs such as our Food Bank and giving monetary assistance for rent and utilities to many people in need in the Venice, North Port, Nokomis and Englewood areas.
