This position will provide assistance to the vice president of marketing based on the volunteer's skills, education, expertise and experience. Note: no actual marketing skills are required as the volunteer will be trained for this position. General qualifications needed are communication and writing skills, interpersonal abilities, reliability, ability to follow instructions, computer literacy & basic internet proficiency, plus access to transportation, phone & e-mail.

Provide objective free mentoring and mostly free education to small and micro business owners in the Eugene and Springfield areas.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small business get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. We have been doing this for over 50 years. Because our work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and thanks to our network of 11,000+ volunteers, we are able to deliver our services at no charge or at very low cost. We can provide: Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across 62 industries. Free, confidential business counseling in person or via email. Free business tools, templates and tips online. Inexpenseive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7). Our 320+ chapters hold events and workshops locally across the US and its territories, and match up entrepreneurs with local volunteer mentors.
