Ice Cream Social Host/Hostess

Following dinner every Wednesday and Sunday at the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children's, our evening staff and volunteers host an ice cream social for the families we have staying with us while their child receives medical treaetment at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. We are seeking four volunteers with food service experience who have experience using and cleaning or are willing to learn how to operate a soft serve ice cream machine. A good natured and friendly attitude is a must, as our volunteers interact quite a bit with our families and children. Sensitivity is also required, as we do have visisbly ill children and their families staying with us. The Charity provides the ice cream, toppings and all related product; we just need a friendly face who can safely operate the machine and get it spic and span so we are meeting food safety standards!

Would also be open to a family of no more than 4 (2 parents and 2 kiddos) to take on ice cream social hosting and cleanup duties together.
