The Sexual Assault Crisis Service of the YWCA New Britain is now accepting applications for our Counselor Advocate Training class. The in-depth training covers the dynamics of sexual assault/abuse and its effects on survivors and their loved ones. This class is for anyone interested in volunteering on our 24hr hotline and may also be taken for professional development. Once the course is completed, we ask volunteers to commit to one year of volunteering two shifts per month. This class will be Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm at Trinity College in Hartford, September 13th - December 13th. You may download an application on our website at http://ywcanb.org/sexual-assault-crisis-services/counselor-advocate-training/ or contact Liz Halla-Mattingly, Volunteer Coordinator, at svolunteers@ywcanewbritain.org or (860) 225-4681 ext. 332
