Mentors are paired with Mentees for a one year commitment to work on achieving the Mentees goals. They are self-selected pairings through a speed matching event.
Mentors must be female, 25+, have personal and professional successes that they can use to help guide the Mentee, and complete boundary trainings, SMART goal trainings, and a background check.
Mentors will meet with their Mentee at least twice per month and communicate via phone or e-mail during the off weeks. They are encouraged to attend workshops at Fresh Start with their Mentee.
Mentors must have the ability to use empathetic listening, deal with crisis while maintaing a professional distances, be non-judgmental, and demonstrate personal stability.

Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women who want to thrive. The Jewell McFarland Lewis- Fresh Start Women's Resource Center located in central Phoenix is a comprehensive self-help facility that delivers free and low-cost services to any woman who is at least 18 years old.
Whether they are adjusting to a career change, concerned about financial security, coping with difficult family relationships, or simply seeking opportunities for personal growth, Fresh Start is here to support the women of our community on their journey.
