Have experience with Positive Dog Training? Want to learn how to train dogs with Positive Training Methods? Love dogs and the thought of helping to train them to help others? We have THE opportunity for you!
If you can commit to training prior to volunteering AND commit to volunteering to at least 2 hours a week: Monday - Friday between 9:00 & 4:00 to help us train our beautiful dogs...WE NEED YOU!
No experience? No worries. We staff to help. And we have experienced trainers at our fingertips to answer any questions.
Come out and get some puppy loving PLUS know that you are doing important work helping a dog who is going to in turn help one/many in their lifetime!

Description
Our core program is offered at the Dorothy Student Thomas Center, a school for Exceptional Student Education within the Hillsborough County Public School system. This school serves as an alternative for students with extreme emotional and behavior disorders or other disorders that prevent them from attending a main stream public school.
While the focus of our programs is to help at-risk youth, we continue to serve people in need...because once the dogs are trained, they are placed with individuals in the community who have certified needs. These dogs go on to empower others through their service as a therapy or companion dog for those suffering from PTSD or anxieties and children with autism...giving them the chance to regain their independence and resume a more productive life.
