Are you a passionate about organizing events? Looking for an opportunity to gain valuable experience and improve your resume? In preparation of Fall Fundraising Gala event, Asante Africa Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Event Planning Committee. As an Event Planner Intern you will be working with vendors, donors, attendees and volunteers, this is great opportunity to enhance your management and organizational skills. Being part of Asante Africa Foundation will give you hands-on experience in the day-to-day work at the fast-paced organization. The hours are flexible and you can work remotely. Time commitment is approximately 7-10 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication (verbal, listening and writing) skills and an outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work rapidly and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Detail oriented, team player, and technologically savvy
  • Access to phone and computer with internet connection (if you prefer to work remotely)
  • Event planning and fundraising experience is a plus
