Volunteers are desperately needed to help older adults with transportation. Transportation locations include trips to the grocery store, church, the bank, etc. We offer very flexible scheduling. This is a great opportunity for individuals in between jobs, business professionals, students, retired individuals, families, businesses, churches, service groups, etc.
Rochester Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN), a program of Family Service Rochester, exists to help older adults remain living in their homes. We match volunteers with older adults in their neighborhood to provide a variety of services including non-medical transportation, light housekeeping, and seasonal yard work.
To qualify to be a non-medical transportation volunteer, you must meet/have the following requirements:
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
