This event will be at five different venues:

Athlete Village - The Brazos Center: located at 3232 Briarcrest Drive Bryan 77802

Bocce - Veterans Park: located at 3101 Harvey Road, College Station, TX 77843 near the soccer fields

Softball - Veterans Park: located at 3101 Harvey Road, College Station, TX 77843 near the softball complex

Aquatics - Texas A&M Natatorium: located at 202 Student Recreation Center, College Station TX 77843

Golf - Briarcrest Country Club/Phillips Event Center: located at 1929 Country Club Drive, Bryan, TX 77802

Potential Volunteer Assignments:

Merchandise Volunteer - Assists at the merchandise stand - customer service and inventory support.

Attire:Please dress for comfort and mobility. Wear comfortable shoes - you will be on your feet most of the time.

Parking: General parking is available at all venues.

For security purposes, please make sure to bring a current photo ID with you to the volunteer check-in area.

To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons eight years of age and older with intellectual disabilities [mental retardation], giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Olympics Texas serves more than 55,000 athletes: male and female, children and adults. We offer local, area, regional, and state competitions in 22 different sports. We have 4 regional offices and 19 area offices located around the state of Texas.
