Our 2nd annual gala will bring important funds into Oakland schools so that all students can learn, grow, and thrive!
We need your help to make sure our event is a success! We are looking for friendly, organized, and cheerful volunteers to help our coat check station for the gala.
Job activities include recieving coats, storing coats, organizing coats, managing coat check numbers, returning coats to guests, and welcoming guests to a great, fun, and meaningful environment!
This volunteer task will make a big impact on Oakland schools! The success of this event means that more students will have equal access to a great education! Can you help us?
Volunteers are required to wear comfortable cocktail attire, and stay thorughout the entire volunteer shift. We will provide dinner and we will ask you to touch base with our staff by phone before the event to ensure all parties are well-prepared.

Mission Statement
The Oakland Public Education Fund leads the development and investment of community resources in Oakland public schools so that all students can learn, grow, and thrive.
Description
The Ed Fund is the only organization raising money for all Oakland public schools. Since 2003, we have raised more than $50 million for programs that help students thrive. We put the right tools in students’ hands to give all kids the excellent education they deserve.
We support all Oakland public schools-both District-run and charter-with a focus on those furthest from opportunity, because kids who come to school with less need more.
The Ed Fund builds partnerships that make our schools stronger. Whether it’s finding a funder for a big District project or a bringing a group of volunteers to a school to read with kids, we are committed to connecting the wider community to our public schools. Put simply, we feel our public schools are better when we all work together.
