ORGANIZATION: Columbus Early Learning Centers

The CELC is a nonprofit organization committed to providing educational opportunities and childcare services to children, primarily from lower income families, in the Columbus area. Founded in 1887, the organization has over 125 years of history, making it the oldest early childhood education agency in Franklin County. We are looking for volunteers to fulfill a variety of roles who are eager to support the CELC’s mission of providing excellent early childhood education and childcare. We serve Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack to all of our students at all 3 of our locations. Cooking and prep is completed at our 240 N. Champion location.

Position Responsibilities will be discussed during a screening interview, but may include:

  • Light Food Prep

  • Kitchen Cleaning

  • Meal Delivery to our other locations

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Pleasant manner, patient, and dependable

  • Interest and enthusiasm for working in an early childcare setting and/or in the nonprofit sector

Upon hire must complete:
  • BCII and FBI background check.

  • Medical statement and nonconcivtion statement
