Students at Wadleigh HS of Performing & Visual Arts in a creative writing workshop.

Seeking a dynamic team of self-motivated individuals with exceptional leadership and organizing skills to assist in expanding our artistic and educational programs. Organization supports artists in art, literature and film communities.

We're seeking volunteers in all areas to provide join our outstanding team of committed staff and volunteers.

Areas of support:

Graphic Design, social media promotion, fundraising, event and program management and non-profit capacity building experience.

Must be willing to commit a minimum of 20 hours a month of service supporting our mission and goals.

Mission Statement

African Voices Communications, Inc is a non-profit arts organization devoted to supporting art, literature and film by artists of color.

Description

Founded in 1992, the organization publishes a national literary magazine and sponors community programs for emerging artists including literary readings, writers conferences and workshops, a film festival for women of color and other events. African Voices runs the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series and Get Your Read On!, an arts literacy program for young people in low income communities.
