Help local students learn the importance of financial literacy, job readiness and entrepreneurship by volunteering for Junior Achievement (JA).
Volunteers from the community enter the classroom once a week for 45 minutes for 7 weeks and teach materials that are provided by JA free of charge. All volunteers will be trained by JA and you won't believe how much fun you'll have with the students.
Each session has about 10-15 minutes of instruction followed by a game or activity that reinforces what the students just learned.
This class is a blended model curriculum which uses a powerpoint type presentation. For more information about this class, visit https://www.juniorachievement.org/documents/20009/4537608/JA+Personal+Finance+Blended+2017+Program+Brief.pdf/390ae5aa-e946-4c87-bdb5-7e56177fecaf

Description
Junior Achievement is a partnership between businesses, educators and volunteers in the community that brings real world experiences to students, empowering them to prepare for their future economic success by enhancing the relevancy of education.
Through JA programming, students are given relevant, hands-on experiences, delivered by volunteers from the local community, that help them develop the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and financial choices.
At every grade level, JA's in-school programs expose students to basic business concepts and the skills that enable them to grasp real-life economics.
