Efforts focus on providing
* unique experiences that make living in a shelter less traumatic for homeless children
* innovative solutions that equip and inspire homeless children, ages 5 - 17, to break the cycle of poverty
Currently, the Dare2B team is seeking part-time volunteers to help expand efforts throughout New York City. Volunteers will benefit from a ground floor opportunity with an early-stage non-profit joining a diverse and proven team of entrepreneurs in international business and program development.

This position requires the following with flexibility offered:
* 3-month commitment is highly appreciated
* 6 - 7 hours 2 days a week Available office hours Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am - 4:30pm
Job Description
Under general directions and supervision, the Public Relations Coordinator will facilitate the relationship between the organization and the public.
* Set up and maintain presence on LinkedIn. Including creation of blog
* Develop and maintain relationships with press, magazines, television stations and radio stations
* Prepare and manage press releases and newsletters
* Develop strategies that help promote and support fundraising events
* Develop regular content and updates for social media outlets and monitor online competitor presence/perceptions
* Submit all content to the leadership for review
* Promote the philanthropic initiatives
* Work with the Social Media Coordinator to increase awareness and drive traffic to websites
* Collaborate with Fundraising Coordinator and Graphic Designer to plan, promote, manage and execute special events
* Create and proofread monthly action plans and quarterly newsletters
* Track impact of website traffic, press releases and newsletters
*Make recommendations to enhance visibility in target market
Qualifications/Requirements
* Volunteer must bring own laptop to work on assigned tasks
* Internet and Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF editing software skills
* Understanding of budget control, expenses, and allocations
* Sales skills preferred
* PR and social media experience preferred
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently as part of a team
* Excellent writing skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Strong desire to want to improve our community and the quality of life for the homeless children we serve
*Commitment to high standards, customer service, integrity, and ethics
