NAMI San Fernando Valley & Santa Clarita Valley Class Coordinators Responsibilities

Class Coordinator

  • Schedule Family to Family & Basics classes as needed based on demand and list of potential class participants. Work with Education Chairperson to set goals for number of classes to be scheduled.

  • Work with LACC Coordinator to order and distribute the necessary student class folders, supplies & materials for classes.

  • Prepare & distribute class supply packets for teachers.

  • Maintain list of classes, dates and location of classes taught by teachers.

  • Maintain a list of active teachers and their availability.

  • Provide support, literature and resources to teachers.

  • Identify new locations for classes in Easter and Northeaster San Fernando Valley.

Participating Classes:

English Family to Family - 12 week course (for persons with an adult family member)

English Basics - 6 week course (for persons with an adolescent family member)

Goal is to have 15 to 20 persons in each class
